Our adoration for coffee goes back to a remarkable journey in 1992, when our owner, Kevin Herrell, stumbled upon Longhi's on Front Street in Lahaina, Maui. It was there that Kona coffee captivated his senses. That coffee experience had it all—a tropical climate, breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, tantalizing fruit, and that much-needed morning jolt of caffeine. It was the inception of an idea that would shape our coffee trajectory in a new way.
Fast forward to 2007, when the doors of our first specialty coffee shop, Higher Ground Coffee Company in Union City, Tenn., swung open. Our paramount goal was clear: to curate an experience that would delight and captivate our community.
As our journey progressed, we embarked on a new chapter after the successful opening of our second retail location, Higher Ground Coffee Company in Martin, Tenn. Driven by an unwavering commitment to elevate the customer experience, we sensed that the time was ripe to embrace the art of coffee roasting. Thus, in 2013, Vantage Coffee Roasters emerged, literally embodying our fervor for crafting the most exquisite coffees imaginable.
This journey began as an idea, inspired by a serendipitous encounter in Hawaii and today, it has blossomed into a passionate pursuit of hand-crafted excellence, fueling our desire to deliver unparalleled coffee experiences to all who cross our path.
