    How is Tea Grown and Graded?
    So, how does that little leaf make it to your cup? Where does tea come from and how does it get transformed to your favorite morning jolt? Through many hundreds of years of growing, trading, and breeding these plants, there are now hundreds of varieties that are grown today. They are all still varieties of the same plant, but they have slightly distinct characteristics and traits that separate them from the other plants in their family tree.  If you are interested in trying some of these teas, come by and see any of our stores or order a tin of it for yourself!     Tea Highlight: Sage Lavender White

    This tea is great hot or iced, but personally, I believe this tea shines best as iced. After brewing and cooling the tea to room temperature, it blends well with any drink you could imagine! We make a few drinks with it, notably our Sage Lavender Lemonade, which adds lavender syrup and is topped off with lemonade. It could even be added to mocktail recipes or an afternoon fruit tea recipe to make any afternoon a special occasion! If you choose to have this tea hot, the tea pairs wonderfully with honey and a lemon wedge. The sweetness from the honey and the brightness from the lemon wedge would brighten up anyone’s day!
